The surprise hit of 2007, the double Emmy Award-winning 30 Rock Season 1 is out to own on DVD on the 17th March from Universal Playback. Chronicling the cast and crew of the fictional sketch comedy show TGS with Tracy Jordan and narrated by the comedic voice of Liz Lemon (Tina Fey), who also doubles as the head writer of the show. Each episode focuses on a day in the TGS office where the unpredictable nature of the characters makes for riotous situations.
When her old boss dies and a new boss is appointed, Liz must try to run a successful TV show without losing her mind, but each day presents new challenges as she attempts to steer the show from one crisis to another whilst struggling with her own personal life.
One of those daily challenges is the boss Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin - The Departed). His constant attempts to commercialize TGS put him at odds with her. She also has to battle with the new star of TGC Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan - The Longest Yard), a mildly insane, low-brow movie star/comedian who is hired at Jack's insistence.
Off the back of its successful broadcast on five, 30 Rock Season 1 is out to own on DVD on the 17th March and contains all 21 hilarious episodes. It's perfect for fans of the show and newcomers alike.
