He's come a long way since the Fame Academy days and his third album reveals the wisdom of a man who knows a thing or two about affairs of the heart. Andrew Lubega sat down with cool crooner, and ladies man, Lemar to hear The Truth About Love...

I'm a fun lover, a passionate lover and a spontaneous lover

Lemar on his technique

What is sexy?
A good bum is sexy - bum before breasts definitely. That's my thing.

Where's the most romantic place on earth?
That would have to be my nice triple sized bed. Maybe that's why I don't like early mornings.

Which three ladies would you take to a desert island?
I'd put Beyoncé on one side of the island, I'd put Rhianna on another side of the island and Halle Berry on another side - and it would be on top of a hill.

Would you invite me?
Just offshore. That's about as close as you'd get.

Be like that then. Ok, a girl whom you have a mutual attraction to makes a move on you - but she happens to be your best friend's lady. What do you do?
I would say, 'Are you having a laugh' and then I'd phone my friend and tell him: 'If I was a different person and if I wasn't your friend that might have been over, so you talk to her...'

If your girlfriend had to say three things about you as a lover what do you think they would be?
She'd say I'm a fun lover, a passionate lover and a spontaneous lover.

What's the most impressive thing you've ever done to make an impression on a lady?
I felt pretty chuffed with myself when I was 18 or 19 and I flew a lady to France, which was pretty cool. I took her to Paris and gave her a gift and everything. But the thing is after that I was in debt for a good while and I didn't actually pay off the debt until I got a record deal.So kids, when you're trying to be romantic, think inside the box, not outside the box.
