The Queen of Scotts: April Scott on XY
Here at XY we're all about the talent. So when sumptuous southern belle April Scott, star of The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning came knocking on our door, we quite rightly let her right in.
Some say you’re the 'fittest' girl to hail out of Missouri. Would you say this is true?
Thanks for the compliment- if that was a compliment...But, I'm not sure that's true. I remember so many beautiful girls that live in the midwest and the south. I think it must be the clean air or the good country cooking!
If we were trying our luck with you, what would be the best way to get in your good books, bearing in mind we at XY already have the ability to make you laugh?
Well, then you're already halfway there. I love to laugh! And I also love originality and passion.
Perfect! How about accents – do they do it for you?
Personally, I love accents. They are so sexy and mysterious.
What accent do you think would completely put you off your dinner?
As long as he doesn't need an interpreter, I guess any accent would be fine. An interpreter sitting at the table might be a bit awkward...
It always sucks to get killed off a show, but at least I got to do my own stunts.
What was it like donning the hot pants in the new Dukes of Hazard film?
I had a blast working on the film! I think I make a good Daisy, because aside from coming from a similar southern background, I tried to remain as truthful to the original telvision series as I possibly could. Catherine Bach was such an amazing actress in that role. She was so naturally sexy. Those are definately going to be difficult shorts to fill.
Are you going to be sexier than Miss Jessica Simpson?
I play a younger Daisy at 18. She starts out frumpy and nerdy, and then transforms herself into the sexy Daisy that we all know. Jessica was definately a sexy Daisy. My take on the character is much different, but, hopefully, it will be enjoyable.
Did you feel a bit silly playing the role of a teenager, when in fact you’re in your mid-twenties?
No. This is Hollywood right? It depends on the movie. If I feel I can play a character realistically, then I'm fine with it.
Got any dream movie roles you’d like to fulfil?
Scarlet O'Hara, but I don't think they're going to remake that.
In CSI Miami you got murdered by your brother – were you a bit peeved to play the murdered hottie?
It always sucks to get killed off a show, but at least I got to do my own stunts. I got to fly through the air in a harness, which was really cool.
