When she's not making our eyes water with her photoshoots in Maxim and Zoo magazineS Seren Gibson has her head in her books as a student at London's Goldsmiths' College.

In 2007 she took part in a documentary with fellow top-heavy model Peta Todd on Channel 4's My Crazy Media Life.

XY learns that there's more to Seren than meets the eye.

Most students would get a job down at Sainsbury’s – how did you manage getting paid to take your clothes off?
Like most things in my life - the result of a very drunk yet very productive evening.

Do you get hit on by the guys down at the student union?
Nope. I got to an arts college so all the boys here pretend they read more profound literature. They probably have a copy of Zoo hidden inside their Guardian, though!

Aside from being a student, what made you different from all of the other hopefuls trying to get into the industry?
Possibly because I got into this almost accidentally. Although I love modelling I don't take myself too seriously and so far I've resisted the stereotypical lifestyle of a model and embraced the stereotypical lifestyle of a student. Not as glamourous but at least there are no footballers…

Do you find modelling easy – u make it look a doddle?
To be honest before I started modelling I thought posing for the camera would be a doddle. I thought you just turned up, got your baps out and pouted a bit. In actual fact it can be very difficult and quite hard work. I find it easier to pose now but I initially found it very challenging.

Girls are notoriously jealous types – do you get judged by your fellow students?
Again, most of them are more interested in their avant garde studies or having a delightful time, what I do doesn't really come into it and that's how I like it. The so-called feminists among them might have something to say though, but so far nobody has said anything to me.

You were followed by the channel 4 cameras for a documentary – what was the craziest thing captured on camera?
Oh dear, there was many a crazy moment captured on camera but fortunately none were actually used in the final piece as it was an "educational program". The most embarrassing moment was probably when my friend Ashley came down to do some filming. The night she arrived we drank far too much cheap Vodka, participated in far too much drunken stumbling and did far too little sleeping. In the intoxicated mist we forgot the film crew were arriving at 9 AM the next day. They arrived to find us fully clothed from the night before passed out on my bedroom floor. It was not a pretty sight....

So what are you going to do when u graduate?
Live in New York, have my own creative advertising agency and be one of those ladies who has far too much time to do coffee. Oh, and I'll have an apartment with a jazz band and Cary Grant as a husband and a cat called Darling.

You’re taking a media course at the moment – fancy coming to work with us at XY towers once it’s done?
I'd consider any interesting and lucrative media work when I'm done!

What other skills do you have that we could exploit?
I could talk for Britain and I have a fantastic eye for granny chic apparel!

Does a beautiful mind ever beat a beautiful body?
Every time.
